During his coaching career, Nick Saban he rarely shied away from an opportunity to share his thoughts on hot topics in college football.
Saban and the rest of ESPN's “College GameDay” staff were in Indiana ahead of the 12-team College Football Playoff opener between Our Lady and Hoosiers. While the senior game was the main topic during the pregame show, Ohio State coach Ryan Day was also discussed.
Sabane defended the Sun and directed his anger at Buckeyes fanssuggesting that they bear at least some of the blame for the cloud of negativity that surrounds the show.

Saban said the noise surrounding the program is a distraction for the coaches and players and made it clear that he respects Day and his program.

“I think every coach has to explain how they want to do it, and I have a lot of respect for Ryan Day and how he tried to do it.” Saban said. “For me, I always wanted to make every player in the organization reach their potential.
