Passengers on a flight to American Airlines were evacuated to the asphalt at an airport in Colorado when a fire burst into the plane, sending smoke in the air.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
Evacuation footage online showed that passengers huddled on the wing of the commercial aircraft, some holding bags, with flames burning near the bottom of the aircraft.
The US Aviation Administration (FAA) said passengers used inflatable slides to get safe on Earth at Denver International Airport. The agency said it would investigate the cause of the incident.
