“Upon further investigation, Sergeant Shawn Roberts discovered that they were three large cubs full of Amazon packs spread several feet into the woods,” the statement said. Police officers loaded the items into a pickup truck and brought them to the Lakeville Police Department, where they cataloged about 80 packages.
According to authorities, an Amazon delivery driver visited the police department the next day and “reported that they left the packages on the side of the road around 7:00 p.m. Saturday because they were stressed.”

Lakeville Police Chief Matthew Perkins added: “At this time, we are not seeking criminal charges and consider this a human resources matter for Amazon.”

The incident comes as Teamster drivers have expanded their strike against Amazon following the company's “repeated refusal to comply with the law and deal.”

However, Amazon has remained adamant, insisting that it has no plans to sit down with the Teamsters because, according to them, they “do not represent any of Amazon's employees.”
