Los Angeles County Sheriff's homicide investigators are searching for answers after a severely decomposed body was found Saturday on a cliff in Rancho Palos Verdes, California.
A pedestrian saw the dead body of the elderly rock the authorities above and immediately informed, according to the statement of the department.
The body was found several hundred meters down the cliff.
Investigators say they believe the man fell at Dinah's Vistapoint, but he appears to have been dead there for a long time, due to “severe decay.”

Los Angeles County Fire paramedics responded and pronounced the person dead at the scene, according to the statement.
Officials say the incident is unrelated human feet found on the beach last week.

Although the ministry has not released the manner of death, the case is being investigated by the an assassination team.
Authorities told Fox News Digital on Monday that the body has not been identified.
