PUBG will have NPCs with artificial intelligence


PUBG: Battlegrounds will add non-player characters based on NVIDIA ACE generative artificial intelligence. These PUBG allies are called co-op characters and they can talk to the player in real time about what is happening in the match. They can also tailor their strategies and gameplay to suit the player's style. Krafton, publisher of Battle Royale, demonstrated the technology at CES 2025.

“We will continue to innovate the user experience by integrating CPC into our games, and strive to make it the benchmark for the gaming industry,” said Kangwook Lee, head of Krafton's deep learning business.
