Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Statt shares his insight on his meeting with Trump at Mar-a-Lago and whether California will elect a Republican governor.
A group of Republican governors met President-elect Donald Trump for dinner Thursday at the Mara Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida.
Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Statham told FOX Business' Stewart Varney that the meeting was “great” and Republican. Governors are “unifying” under Trump.
“Trump was amazing. The energy this guy has. He was with us until 10 p.m., and I knew he was at President Carter's funeral in Washington, D.C. earlier in the day, but compared to America was very optimistic.”

“I'll tell you this,” he continued, “the American people are excited about safe communities for President Trump on January 20th. We're finally going to see border security and we're going to see energy dominance … so we're really I am really excited. All Republican governors are united.
Governors were also present among those present Ron DeSantis of Florida, Fox News confirmed Brian Kemp of Georgia, Glenn Youngkin of Virginia and Kim Reynolds of Iowa.
Before the president-elect's dinner, he spoke with Fox News' Peter Ducey during a press conference, praising the “fantastic” work done by the group.
“This is a group of people who have done an extraordinary job. And especially when you see what's going on in Los Angeles and you look at the way our states are run, it's unbelievable,” Trump said Thursday.

Trump also pointed to crime, arguing that the crisis is “all on the Democrats' shoulders” and the troubling strategy with which they run their states.
Stitt felt the same way during the crime era His appearance in “Varney & Co.” Friday, saying that people are tired of “progressive, weird” policies.
