Review of Inmotion V13: The big wheel of electric unicals

From an outsider's point of view, I fully understand how electrical single -cyclists can look daunting for someone who never rides. How on Earth can anyone balance just one wheel? It only took about 20 minutes to learn, using a glass, and I drove home without hands. If I can do that, pretty much someone can. It's just a matter of your body to adapt to something new.

The Inmotion V13 Challenger is far from the ideal choice for beginners. Although I have heard stories about people learning to ride one, it's almost three meters high and weighs 110 kg. Plus, it has a top speed of 56 km / h. However, these are many features that make it attractive to experienced drivers. When driving something as quickly as possible, you want as much of the device between the legs as possible, which is where height and width is important. While the weight is not ideal for carrying, it is great for keeping the wheel ground.

Yes, the V13 also demands both physical and financial commitment, given its $ 1,899 price. If you are looking for a great EUC that rewards veterans who can drive vehicles like this, the V13 is well worth it.

Design and features

The V13 Challenger has optimized weight distribution and an elegant form factor. The V13 is also designed to be one of the safest wheels on the market, which has a stable, innovative battery management system and superfluous sensors to prevent wheel breakage. The large 22 -inch hybrid rubber, combined with air suspension, absorbs bumps, while the wheel weight of 110 pounds provides stability and maintains grounding. It is also relatively high.

V13 is powered by 3,024Wh 126-volt The battery and driven by a 10,000 -watt engine (300nm torque), reaching a top speed of 56 km / h. The information is charged between 4 and 6 hours using its charger with 5 amplifiers. The vehicle has an estimated 88 -mile trip range, which varies based on speed, driver size, terrain, wind conditions and other variables. The V13 can easily exceed the maximum speed, but this cap is in place to prevent the wheels from stopping. This protective measure guarantees that if the driver is constantly trying to accelerate, the wheel will not throw them out, so it remains within its limits to maintain the movement forward and balance.

However, additional speed restrictions can be set within the application and directly on the unit.

Like other Inmotion products, V13 is connected via Bluetooth with the iOS/Android application for expanded functionality and performance monitoring. Application statistics provide detailed insights to monitor your performance, battery status, system health, temperatures and habits.

As a security caution, the wheel does not reach 56 km per hour outside the box – drivers must first agree to unlock the highest speed through the application. Once the speed is reached, the wheel will tilt back and miss the signal to warn the driver.

The V13 also has a small 2.4-inch LCD touch display on the unit's head, allowing drivers to check their current speed, battery level and adjust settings without their phone. One of my other favorite features is setting up a wheel power code – perfect for leaving the strolling section while it is out. This ensures that no one can include without authorization.

The protective cage around the front and rear helps to protect the unit from falls and influences. The front is also duplicated as the rest stands when not in use. A back stand that allows the unit to tilt to the back. I also used the cage to lift the unit in and out of the car and increase the occasional flight of the stairs.

The foot of the foot on each side of the wheel is solid and spacious, providing good grip and comfortably placing shoes 12.

The V13 includes daily operation of a halo light that stays up while powered, powerful light of 18 watts for low light conditions and brake rear light for extra visibility.

Finally, the V13 has two charging gates and a type-a port and type-C for charging mobile devices.

Performance

So how do you drive a vehicle like V13? Like all EUC, it remains upright simple: the wheel handles the balance back and forth, while the driver controls left and right. Switching the weight of your fingers moves the unit forward as it rests on your heels slows it or puts it in the opposite direction. It's like cycling; Once your body is adapted to the mechanics, you will wonder why you have not learned before (on this or other).

I announced over 1,300 miles of V13 – and I counted. Although there are other options available to me, the Inmotion V13 remains one of my favorite wheels for everyday use (until I have to wear it). I took him on trips to Minnesota, South Carolina, Chicago and all over the New York. One of the reasons I want to carry on my travels is that it doesn't take up much space in the SUV (compared to a bicycle, which is even the largest). Plus, no matter where I am, it provides high power, speed and large enough tire to handle most roads and paths.

As a bigger driver, I appreciate the feeling of stability and safety that the wheel provides to this size. However, I must mention that this wheel feels like a high -speed rocket, although it feels stable and right as an arrow. The inclination of turns is trying when you get used to the wheel first, but it becomes smoothly sailing after a while and exercise.

As for writing this, my personal maximum speed of V13 is 48 km / h – only if I had more space to push it further.

Areas for improvement

The V13 has a trolley handle, which facilitates the walking of the unit around. Overall, it is firmly built, but over time I discovered that the lever screws will loosen and need to be tightened. This is a small question that little can fix a little bit, but it's worth mentioning.

Another attention is the weight of the wheel, which may be a little heavy for smaller/lighter drivers to maneuver comfortably. In addition, the suspension requires periodic checks, as it tends to lose air pressure over time. It would be nice if you could check the pressure without connecting the supplied pump. As with any vehicle, however, regular maintenance will help maintain the best.

Judgment

When it comes to building quality, performance, speed and security, V13 undoubtedly deserves praise. Personally, I really like this wheel – it's a fantastic option for larger drivers looking to get into the game. It is effortlessly handled with thorny streets, rough roads and herbaceous hills, delivering a smooth and stable ride.

I drove it fully prepared with a backpack that put me above the proposed weight of £ 265, and the V13 didn't even scatter. With a lot of power to spare, this wheel is a rough and reliable choice for those who need strength and ability in their driving.
