Sen. Bill CassidyR-La., said during an interview on “Fox News Sunday” that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. “wrong” on vaccinations.
President-elect Donald Trump tapped Kennedy to serve as secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
Cassidy, a gastroenterologist currently serving Louisianans in the Senate, is the incoming chairman of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee.

The senator, who noted that he expects to meet with Kennedy next week, said he agrees with Kennedy on some issues but disagrees with him on others.
While Cassidy explained that processed foods are a problem, he said Kennedy is “wrong” about vaccines.
Fox News Digital asked if Cassidy plans to vote against confirming Kennedy to HHS because of vaccine incompatibility.
“Cassidy does not comment on his election before meetings with elected officials and Senate proceedings are based on it,” Cassidy's spokesman said in a statement. “Cassidy explained that these are the topics she wants to discuss with RFK Jr in her meeting with him this week and she looks forward to having a good conversation with him.”

Reached by Fox News Digital on Monday, Kennedy declined to comment on Cassidy's claim that he was “wrong” on the vaccine issue.
But Kennedy has said that he does not want to prevent people from getting vaccines.
