Fighting

Two people were killed when Russian forces shelled the town of Siversk in the Donetsk region, according to governor Vadym Filaskhin.
- Two people were also killed when the town of Kamyanka-Dniprovska in the Russian-controlled Zaporizhia region was engulfed in fire in Ukraine, Moscow-appointed Governor Yevgeny Belitsky said. On Wednesday, a Russian-led bombing raid on a Ukrainian-controlled area of the region killed 13 civilians and injured about 30 others.
- Ukraine's military says Russia has fired more than 51,000 bombs directed at Ukraine since it launched its deadly offensive nearly three years ago.
- Russian troops have established a bridgehead on the Ukrainian side of the Oskil River in the east of the country, an official said, referring to the escalating fighting in Kyiv. This river is the front line in the eastern part of Kharkiv.
Weapons
- An international deal to buy unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in Ukraine, led by the United Kingdom and Latvia, will deliver 30,000 newly ordered drones to Kyiv, the UK Ministry of Defense has said.

- The EU Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has warned non-European airlines not to fly west of the Russian airliner due to the risk of being inadvertently monitored by its flight safety systems.
- EASA said the accident happened last month in Kazakhstan Azerbaijan Airlines flightas the Russian air defense fired on the Ukrainian drones, it showed a great danger. At least 38 people died in the accident.
