The Russian ambassador to the United Kingdom said it was “unsure” Ukrainians would vote for Zelenski if elections are held today.
Speaking to Victoria Derbyshire on BBC Newsnight, Andrei Kelin was asked if President Zelenski's request to withdraw, as Ukraine's leader could be among Russia's demands as a condition for peace.
“There is a great demand for the Americans that the Ukrainian population expresses its free will for who should be the leader of Ukraine and I'm not sure it will be Zeans,” he said.
