Salome Zourbichvili: Georgia's first female president




Outgoing Georgian President Salome Zourabikvili became the country's first female president in 2018 with the support of the governing party Georgian Dream. Now, six years later, pro-EU Zourbichvili has been pushed out of the presidential palace to make way for party loyalist Mikheil Kvelashvili, with the ruling party remaining pro-Russian despite its promises of further European integration.
