Four former Housewives Smokey Robinson claims that they submitted in the lawsuit on Tuesday, that Motown Music Lumary has repeatedly sexually attacked and raped them while working for him.
A lawsuit filed in the Supreme Court in Los Angeles is looking for at least $ 50 million compensation in connection with alleged attacks, which according to women took place in 2007–2024, and violations of work, including a hostile work environment, illegally long hours and a lack of remuneration.
A message looking for a commentary from a representative of 85-year-old Robinson was not given an immediate answer.
Four women say that Robinson will wait until he is alone with them in his home in Los Angeles, then sexual assault and rape their reservations.
“We think that Mr. Robinson is a serial and sick rapist and must be detained,” said the women's lawyer John Harris at a press conference.
Everyone said that they finally gave up attacks, although in some cases it took several years. And everyone said they were afraid that the fears of retaliation, public shame and the possible influence on their immigration status.
“The need to tell her husband and children about these vile actions made them full of shame and embarrassment,” said Harris. “So during their terrible experience with Mr. Robinson, all four women are silent.”
He said that as people with low wages, everyone was also afraid of “a lack of payment and unable to afford rent or buying food for their families.”
All four women went their legal names, citing fears of privacy and are identified as Jane in court documents. They appeared at a press conference with their lawyers, but they did not talk and talked about faces of masks.
One woman said that she worked for Robinson and his wife Frances, from 2012 to 2024 and was attacked at least 20 times during this period. Another said she worked for them from 2014 to 2020 and was attacked at least 23 times. Another said that she worked for them for a year before smoking in 2024 and was attacked at least seven times. The fourth woman, who also said that she also acted as a personal assistant Frances Robinson, a hairdresser and cook, worked for them for 18 years before she gave up in 2024. She cited similar experiences with other women, but did not say how often she was attacked.
A wife also named in a suit
Lawyers say that some of whom worked for Robinsons at the same time also maintained stories about attacks, but are now connecting with their experience.
They refused to provide detailed information at a press conference on how they reported and learned that they were different.
The claim also calls Robinson's wife as the defendant, claiming that she enabled him to behave, despite the knowledge of improper sexual behavior. He also blames her for a hostile work environment, saying that he covers them with a language covering ethnic insults.
The lawsuit strives for damage based on a sexual battery, assault, false prison, sex violence and other allegations.
“Of course, no amount of money can compensate for these women for what Robinson has gone through them,” said Harris. He said, however, that $ 50 million was justified “based on the seriousness of the wicked and reprehensible improper behavior of Mr. Robinson.”
Herbert Hayden, another lawyer of the plaintiffs, said that although they felt assaults that are worth the criminal investigation, women did not submit police reports, based on the same fears that stopped them from arrival.
