NASA-SPACEX's mission, which aims to clear the path of two stuck astronauts to return to the ground, has been postponed.
Thehe The launch of Falcon 9 from the Space Force Cape Canaveral station was returned due to a hydraulic number of Earth. There is another possible starting opportunity on Thursday.
The rocket aims to fly four new crew members to the International Space Station (ISS) and pave the way to return Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore.
The two NASA astronauts flew into space in June, but failed to return to a Boeing spacecraft after being considered dangerous. The couple will be able to return to Earth within days of the SpaceX mission reaching the ISS.
NASA astronauts left Earth on June 5, 2024 for an eight -day mission and had been stuck at the ISS for more than nine months, instead helped the current missions of the station with maintenance and experiments.
Starting Wednesday would make them return to Earth on Sunday.
SpaceX said the problem that forced the start to rubbed the hydraulics of one of the tightening weapons that engineers were trying to fix. There were fears that the hand could not open completely during the start.
There is another possible window to launch on Thursday, but SpaceX has not yet announced whether the equipment will be fixed until this time.
D -Ja Williams, 58 -year -old, and G -n wilmore, 61 -year -old, took their special situation, saying at a press conference from The ISS in September that they were trained to “expect the unexpected”.
“This is my happy place,” said D -Ja Williams at the time, though she admitted that she had missed her family and two dogs.
G -n Wilmore noted the problems with the Starliner spacecraft they arrived at, made them not “comfortable” to fly home.
However, he added that 90% of their training was “preparing for the unexpected”.
He said they would stay there “eight months, nine months, 10 months” if necessary.
D -Ja Williams said that being in space makes her think more about planet Earth.
“It opens the door to make you think a little differently,” she explained. “This is a planet we have and we have to take care of it.”
