Much of home security technology is focused on the front door. At CES 2025, we saw that home security companies are making plans to combine it all into one device. The result? Smart video locks from brands like Lockly and TCL who do a little bit of everything.
These locks track access to the door and allow keypad passes, fingerprints or even Apple home buttons the best smart locks around. But like the best video ringtonesthe locks also have high-resolution cameras that can detect people, send alerts to your phone, and enable two-way communication from apps. And instead of connecting a third-party screen, they have built-in displays on the lock so you can see who's approaching the door, without the need for a peephole or other devices.
Lockly's Vision Prestige is a standout here with its touchscreen keyboard and Apple compatibility, but when it arrives later this year you'll need to shell out $500 for this all-in-one security tech.
