NFL Divisional round action got off to a hot start on a bitterly cold afternoon in Kansas City. But the heat was very much on the side of the Houston Texans as tempers flared in the early stages of a high-scoring game against a dominant late game. Super Bowl Champion Chiefs.
Television cameras showed the Texans defensive back Kris Boyd almost pushed Houston special teams coach Frank Ross moments after the kickoff.
The Texans kicked the ball to the Chiefs to start the game. Chiefs kicker Nikko Remigio kicked and quickly ran through some would-be Texans players.

Soon Remigio hit an open field and raced toward the end zone. But, Boyd finally caught him and stripped the ball.

He then ran to the Texans sideline and celebrated the game by taking off his helmet and sending it toward the bench. However, there was one noticeable problem – the Chiefs had really got it wrong.

Boyd continued to push Ross aside.
The 28-year-old cornerback ended up being flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct by removing his helmet.

The Texans advanced to Saturday's playoff series after an upset Los Angeles Chargers in a wild card game last week.

Houston entered Saturday's game against the Chiefs as underdogs, but went into halftime trailing by just seven points. The third quarter ended with Kansas City leading 13-12.
The winner of the game at Arrowhead Stadium will determine the outcome of Sunday's other AFC game between the Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo Bills.
