This offer is for the base model with 128GB of internal storage (double the previous generation) and no cellular connectivity, although there is support for Wi-Fi 6E. You also get 8GB of RAM.
We gave away the iPad Air M2, which debuted less than a year ago, score 91 in our review. This is our choice for best iPad for most people. It hits the sweet spot between performance, features, and price—even more so given this deal. It offers a better outlook than the entry-level iPad, as many features and apps only run on M-series chips and newer A-series processors.
For basic tasks like web browsing and video streaming, performance shouldn't be an issue at all. iPad Air M2 supports Apple Intelligence features as well as demanding games such as Death And Resident Evil 4 remake.
You should get about 10 hours of battery life on a single charge. There's no Face ID, but there's a Touch ID fingerprint scanner built into the power button. Another big plus is that Apple has moved the front-facing camera to the longer side of the tablet, making FaceTime calls easier in landscape mode. The iPad Air M2 is compatible with the Apple Pencil Pro, but not the second generation Pencil.
One of our main gripes with the iPad Air M2 is that it features a 60Hz LCD display. It's not as smooth or bright as the 120Hz OLED you'll find on the latest iPad Pro. However, it is a bright and clear screen. Regardless, the M2 iPad Air is a pretty great tablet.
