The best mattresses you can buy online

Let's talk about some of the most popular materials you'll find on online mattresses. Although I have listed them separately, many beds include several types of materials, as is the case with hybrid beds which have coils and layers of foam.

Memory foam: Memory foam is among the most popular mattress materials online. Loved by people who like their beds to contour to their curves and create a cocoon around them as they sleep. The trade-off is that some memory foam is dense and difficult to move.

Polyurethane foam: Another type often used in mattresses is polyurethane foam. It is not as dense and slow as memory foam; it has more of a neutral feel that isn't very polarizing. It's a classic foam feel that the average person will love.

Latex foam: This type of foam is often made naturally by collecting rubber sap, although synthetic latex is also popular. Latex foam is antimicrobial and hypoallergenic, making it a popular option. It is a responsive and lively material, but tends to be stiffer than other types of foam.

Individually wound coils or internal source: To give mattresses durability and support, many brands add individually wrapped coils or inner springs to their beds. Individually wrapped coils tend to isolate movement a little better than traditional innersprings, but both are great options for people who want a bed that will last.

Hyperelastic polymer: You'll only find hyperelastic polymer in purple mattresses. It is a gel-like support material that is super elastic. The purple lattice gives the bed a unique feel that you won't get anywhere else. It's almost like you're floating when you lie on the bed.

Organic cotton or wool: Many online organic mattresses include organic cotton or wool in their covers, giving the bed a soft feel.
