Another body was found at the famous Lady Bird Lake in Austin, Texaswhere some dead people were found recently.
The latest body found joins the growing mystery after at least 6 more bodies were found throughout the year in the lake in 2024. On Friday, police were called to investigate reports of person dead in the water near the 1st Street Bridge and 300 block of Cesar Chavez.
Austin Police Department (APD) said they do not suspect foul play as the body did not show signs of infection, but they are still investigating the incident.
Although APD is trying to allay the public's fears, questions and speculations abound. The police said that most of the people who died were accidentally drowned due to being near the lake and nightclubs and bars.

The latest body was found on December 1. The victim was recently identified as 73-year-old Thi Lang Nguyen. Austin police said there was no connection to the other deaths this year.

In September, a man was behaving badly near East Cesar Chavez and Nueces Streets. Then he went into the water and never came up again. He was later released and he is said to be dead.

Back in February, a woman's body was found in the water about 20 meters from the north shore and in April, a fisherman saw another person floating in the water.

In July, a man suffered a severe seizure on the road near Rainey Street. The man was pronounced dead a short time later.
In September, a body was found on a road near a lake near Pleasant Valley Road.
