The Indonesian peak Marapi broke out on Thursday, sending a column of ash 1.5 km (4,900 feet) above its peak.
Timelapse video surveillance frames filmed the ashes rising in the sky.
The eruption is estimated at the level level – the third highest weight level – requiring 3 km (9 800 feet) shutdown zone.
Marapi is one of the most active volcanoes in Indonesia – a huge nation from the archipelago. Previous eruption killed at least 24 climbers in 2023
