The health of former Brazil president Jair Bolsonaro worsened after the intestinal operation earlier this month, according to his medical team.
The 70-year-old stays in intensive treatment and will undergo new tests.
Bolsonaro was visited in a hospital by a court officer on Wednesday, who presented a summons, giving him five days to present his initial defense against coup accusations, preparing for his trial.
Bolsonaro was ordered to be held in a trial after accusing that he has directed an alleged attempt at a coup of the right After losing the 2022 presidential election to left -wing President Lula da Silva.
In a video of the summoning that was delivered, Bolsonaro could see how he reacted furiously, saying, “I have five days to present my defense?”
