A knife attack on Saturday in East France In the name of Islamic extremism by President Emmanuel Macron, one person was killed and at least two others were injured.
A 37 -year -old Algerian man was arrested, prosecutors said. The attack took place near a canal covered market in the French city of Mol House. The area is connected to Germany and Switzerland.

The French Anti -Terrorism Prosecutor's Office said it was dealing with the investigation. Macron said the culprit was an Islamic extremist, adding that the government had a “complete commitment” to respond to the attack.
France has been high alert for extremist threats. Interior Minister Bruno Retilio was on his way to the attack on Saturday night.
The Anti -Terrorism Prosecutor's Office said that the victim was a 69 -year -old Portuguese man. He was the injured police officers who intervened.
Regional prosecutors said the suspects were on the list of flags for radicalism.
