The Israeli head of Szpiegowski gives Netanyahu in court to release him

The head of the Israeli Intelligence Service said on Monday that the attempt of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to release him for refusing to fulfill the requests including spying of Israeli protesters and disruption of the trial of the leader's corruption.

In a statement submitted to the Supreme Court, the head of Shin Bet, Ronen Bar, said that Netanyahu's March movement about his release was not based on professional connections, but was inclined to the unmet expectations of personal loyalty to the prime minister.

In response, the Netanyahu office rejected the statement that, he said, was “full of lies.”

The attempt to release from the Netanyahu bar fueled protests in Israel and was suspended by the Supreme Court, after political guards and opposition legislators claimed that the exemption was unlawful.

Critics say that the Israeli government undermines key state institutions and exposes the foundations of the country's democracy. The Likud Netanyahu party accused the bar of acting against the prime minister and transforming part of the Shin Bet service into a “private militia of the deep state”.

The Israeli government supported Netanyahu, who said that he lost confidence in the bar in connection with the lack of prevention of the agency of October 7, 2023, security failure that led to the most deadly day of the country.

But in an undeclassified part of his statement, Bar argued that the pursuit of him began over a year after the attack. He cited a series of events between November 2024 and February 2025, which, he said, seemed to have caused the prime minister's movement against him.

The bar claims that Netanyahu interfering into the intelligence service

They included the investigations of Shin Bet regarding leaks of secret army documents for the media and possible connections between Netanyahu and Qatar helpers, as well as a Shin Bet study on their own failures, which also indicated ignoring warnings against attack on October 7 and politics failure.

The bar also said that he refused to sign a security application aimed at preventing Netanyahu's constant testimony during the corruption process. Netanyahu, who denies any offenses, began to testify in his long -term court case in December. His office denied that he asked for postponement.

The bar also quoted what he described as the unmet demands of Netanyahu so that the intelligence service would act against anti -self -protesting anti -rules.

Netanyahu's office stated that the Bar statement confirmed that “unfortunately failed” on October 7. “This reason itself requires the end of his position,” he said.

It was also denied that moving to the sacks was aimed at thwarting the so -called “Katargat” investigation regarding the allegations of financial ties between Qatar and Netanyah assistants.

“The dismissal was not aimed at preventing the investigation. The investigation was to prevent release,” he said.

The bar accepted Shin Bet's failure in preventing the attack on October 7 and said that he would give up before the end of his term.

The Supreme Court, after listening to the arguments on April 8 by the supervisory authority and opposition of legislators, who stated that the dismissal of the bar violated the appropriate trial and was contaminated with a conflict of interests, it will not be possible to realize the case yet.
