NFL team announced that it will donate $5 million to wildfire relief efforts as Southern California continues to battle the state's worst wildfires.
Led by individual donations from the teams and owners of the Los Angeles Rams, Minnesota Vikings, Houston Texans and the NFL Foundation, these funds will provide critical resources to local organizations that support those affected by wildfires,” said the NFL in a statement Friday.
“We are saddened by the tragic loss suffered by so many people in the Los Angeles area and are inspired by the brave front-runners and citizens who supported their neighbors,” said NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.

More than 10,000 buildings have been destroyed by the fire as of Friday morning, officials confirmed. Officials also confirmed that the Palisades Fire, Eaton Fire, Kenneth Fire, Hurst Fire and Lidia Fire have burned more than 27,000 acres across the Los Angeles area.
The Vikings and the Wilf Family Foundation announced a $1 million donation for relief efforts. Brothers Zygi and Mark Wilf and cousin Leonard Wilf own the Vikings.

On Thursday, a fire broke out just a few kilometers away the rams gym in Woodland Hills, California, and smoke could be seen coming from the team's practice field, ESPN reported. The Rams and Chargers are scheduled to play in the playoffs this week, and both teams practice outside Thursday. Some Chargers players chose to wear masks during practice.
On Friday afternoon, ESPN reported that the Cardinals sent one of their Boeing 777 planes to Los Angeles to transport Rams players, staff, their families and pets to Arizona. The Cardinals also made their offensive line available to the Rams, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
On Wednesday, the Los Angeles Chargers announced that the franchise will donate $200,000 in proceeds to the American Red Cross, LA Fire Department Foundation, Team Rubicon and animal rescue organizations that protect animals displaced by the fires. appeared.
