The suicide rate in the Israeli army during the ongoing war has reached a 13-year high




The Israeli military has reported a sharp rise in the number of suicides since the start of the war in Gaza, and says psychological distress has caused thousands of soldiers to stop serving in combat roles. This trend has led the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to adopt new preventive measures 15 months into a conflict that has mobilized hundreds of thousands of reservists.
