Photoshop is the original photo editing app, and has changed a lot since it started 35 years ago. One of the biggest changes is the evolution of the generative AI. Adobe leaned in AI, and Photoshop has a bunch of new AI tools. But you can hardly understand where you can fit into your workflow and make your work easier and faster. There is no direct answer – it will depend on your project and comfort using AI – but these are some of the tools worth considering.
Regular Photoshop users can already be familiar with some of these tools, as they are front and central in many bars and panels. Some of the most popular tools are general filling, expanding and removing. These tools for you are some of the easiest ways to try Adobe's Opportunities. For example, general expansion can be good for changing the size of the photos, and I are creative with my landscapes using the AI sky replacement tool. These are a good place to start testing.
While you can access the tools in any Photoshop file, I thought it was the easiest to import my favorite photos of my Lightroom Albums because all my projects are synchronized in my creative cloud. Then I could edit my laptop and use the larger screen.
The first time you try to use any of these AI tools, Adobe will make you agree with its different AI services. Politics says Adobe will not train its AI models on your content and you also agree to follow their instructions, which prohibit things like creating offensive or illegal content.
Here's all you need to know about using AI in Adobe Photoshop in 2025.

If you are not for Love Current in the pictures, you can click on the image output window or the four -squared icon to customize your fast and reference images. You can also touch the three vertical points at the end of the PIN bar to give feedback on generations, remove the background or generate similar images. If you still do not like what you have, I recommend starting with a new ambulance, instead of trying to swap it and generate it, hoping to get it properly.
How to use general filling, expanding and removing in Photoshop
You can also use generative AI tools to edit the existing project in Photoshop. General charge, expansion and removal are some of the most popular AI tools. Here's how to use everyone.
General filling is like a miniaturized AI image generator, and it's one of the most popular AI tools in Photoshop. With general filling, you can choose a specific region of your project, enter text text and create a new design for that area. You can find general charging by editing> General charging. (Make sure you use the brush tool.) Highlight the area you want the elements, write your line and click Generate.
General expansion is useful when you need more space in the picture. You can create new parts of your image to smoothly mix with your current image or enter text text and create a new sight. You can also use it to increase your project. To access general expansion, select the crop tool, extract the canvas to any size you want, enter fast if you want and click generation.
I edited my original image (left) to turn on more skies and sand with general expansion, and then I added a few AI seagulls with general filling.
General removal is like a wiper of Ai-Super filled. It can insulate and remove certain elements from your project without disturbing the whole image. There are two ways to remove items from your work. The first is to select the object with the tool select an object, click on general charging and place the word “remove” in the question. Or, you can use the tool removed (on -site healing tool> remove the tool) to manually highlight the objects you want to delete.

Other Ai tools you can use in Photoshop
Replacing the sky is a cool tool for you that can add drama to your landscapes. You can create an alternative sky by navigating to edit> replacing the sky and choosing a variety of choices, including sunset, blue sky and some colorful options marked with “spectacular”. Once you have selected pre -set, you can manually adjust the brightness and other elements.
Here I used a replacement of the sky AI to add a little blue sky to Carolina (right) on my original shot at Kenan Stadium (left).
Generates wallpaper is great for photographing products or other shots where the subject or item is the focal point of the image. Set your Photoshop stroke, click Remove the background from the contextual taskbar (the PIN box that appears when you select the layer) and click on the Generated Wallpaper. Some of the backgrounds go better than others; The city places I created looked like fake, but colored or modeled backgrounds came out great.
There are some other AI tools that may be suitable for you depending on your project. Nerve filters can be used in a more detailed editing of photos and pen for curve They can help designers make more consistent arcs. We also expect to see more AI editing tools introduced in Photoshop this year.
