Yukai Engineering's Parade of Weird Animal Robots! CES 2025 Continues with Nékojita FuFu. A small cat clings to a mug or bowl and blows air to cool it down. A Tokyo-based company says the robot combines a fan with a “special algorithm” or “Fuing System” to blow with random force and timing like a human.
The unique name combines two distinct concepts. “FuFu” is a tail fin for the sound we make when we blow on food. Neko-jita means cat's tongue. This refers to people with a low tolerance for hot food, a condition that affects nearly half of Japan's population. Survey.
Nékojita FuFu is a product of the same internal hack-a-thon that gave the world. Murami, Baby Fuzzy Wallet Goblin Yukai was also unveiled at CES this week.
“Nékojita FuFu was born out of Yukai Engineering's 2024 Make-a-Thon,” notes the company. “So when the team leader remembers how badly he wanted help all those years ago for blowing up his son's freshly cooked baby food, it often leaves him breathless and dizzy.”
Yukai describes the robot's modifications as follows:
