Thousands took the streets in the United States on Saturday to protest the latest actions of President Donald Trump.
Known as “50501”, for “50 protests, 50 states, 1 movement”, the demonstrations were intended to coincide with the 250th anniversary of the beginning of the American Revolutionary War.
Outside the White House and the Tesla dealers and in the centers of many cities, protesters expressed different complaints. Many have called for the return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who was wrongly deported to Salvador.
Political protests are becoming increasingly common in the United States, with demonstrations of “hands” in early April attracting huge crowds as polls suggest that Trump's popularity is falling apart.

Saturday's protests refer to a number of Trump's actions, including those of the Ministry of Government Efficiency (DOG) – Trump's initiative to reduce jobs in the US government and other costs – and the reluctance of the administration to lead to return to return to Acreto a citizen of El Salvador.
Jihad Elgendi told CNN that he was joining the White House protest to criticize the deportation of Abrego Garcia. He believes Trump “could easily put pressure on El Salvador to return him.”
In principle, the protests were reported to be peaceful, although a representative of Sukhas Subramam, a Democrat, posted a video of X of a man who had a sign of Trump and was running through the crowd to face him.
Many demonstrators wore signs that read “No Kings”, a nod to the anniversary of the country's revolution against the English rule.
During the festivities of the Massachusetts anniversary, which celebrated the battles of Lexington and Concord and the famous horse rivering, people kept similar signs. There was also a 50501 demonstration in Boston on Saturday.
“It's a very dangerous time in America for freedom,” Thomas Basford told the Associated Press while in Boston with his partner, daughter and two grandchildren. “I wanted the boys to learn about the origin of this country and that sometimes we had to fight for freedom.”

The most Study by GallupIt suggests that 45% of voters approve of Trump's performance in the first quarter of his term, which is more than 41%, which they approved during the same period in his first administration.
However, it is lower than the average assessment of the first quarter of 60% for all presidents selected between 1952 and 2020, and Trump's popularity seems to be decreasing, especially in terms of the economy. When he took office in January, his approval estimate was 47%, according to Gallup.
His approval evaluation in a recent Reuters/IPSOS survey in a similar manner decreased to 43% of 47% on the day of taking office. In the same poll, only 37% approved its results from the economy, compared to 42% during the taking office.
Earlier this month, hundreds of thousands of Americans gathered for the largest national show of the opposition since Trump returned to the White House.
These protests – which were bigger than Saturdays – happened in 1200 places in all 50 US states.
