Trump signs executive order delaying TikTok enforcement for 75 days

The order directs relevant government agencies to “protect national security” while confiscating “(TikTok.)” a “solution that protects national security.” Through the order, Trump ordered the US attorney general to take no action for 75 days. The Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act (PAFACA) effectively banned TikTok in the US on Sunday, January 19.

“During this period, the Department of Justice shall not enforce the Act or impose penalties on any organization for failure to comply with the Act,” the order issued.
