US President Donald Trump's administration has fired more than a dozen lawyers at the Ministry of Justice, who have worked in two criminal cases against him.

“The dismissal of prosecutors because of the cases they were assigned to work is just unacceptable,” former US lawyer Joyce Vance told NBC News. “This is the anti-law of the law; this is an antidemocracy.”

The dismissals follow a large re -appointment of some of the senior officials of the Ministry of Justice with experience in a wide range of areas, including national security and public corruption. On Monday, one of them, the head of the public integrity section, is reported to have resigned.
