Six more people were killed and many injured in an Israeli attack on a house in Jabalia al-Nazla in northern Gaza.
At least two members of Gaza's security forces have been killed in the latest Israeli attack on the Palestinian enclave, rescuers and emergency services said.
A drone strike on the Civil Defense headquarters in Gaza City on Tuesday killed firefighter Nabil Bahloul and his son.
Another Civil Defense worker, Najib Sakr, was killed when the Daraj area of Gaza City was bombed by Israeli forces.
“We received an emergency message … asking for help to put out the fire that broke out as a result of an Israeli airstrike on a residential building,” said Ahmed al-Madhoun, a member of the Civil Defense.
“We rushed to the spot. On the way, we received a call that the place we were going to was attacked again. We went and found many people killed, including our colleagues from the Civil Defense team torn to pieces. “
Israeli forces are increasingly targeting Civil Defense offices in Gaza, Al Jazeera's Gaza correspondent Tareq Abu Azzoum said.
“We are talking about 14 properties that have been destroyed along with 56 vehicles, including fire engines and ambulances,” he said.
“Civil Defense personnel are unable to work effectively in northern Gaza, where their operations are seeing a near collapse due to repeated Israeli attacks on their members on the ground,” he added.
As a result, civilians are taking responsibility, coming together to carry out rescue operations, including pulling victims from the rubble of bombed-out buildings, Abu Azzoum said.
