Police said a teenage attacker killed two women with a knife at a shopping center in the Czech city of Hardik Carlo on Thursday, just before being detained.
Police were investigating the motivation for the attack in the city 110 km from Prague.
Police said in a post on X, “Although we were at the scene within a few minutes of the report, the two victims were so seriously injured that they could not be rescued despite all the efforts of the respondents.”

The spokesman said the 16 -year -old Czech citizen, a suspected male attacker, was detained 10 minutes after the incident less than a kilometer.
Police said on X, “The purpose of the attacker is still not clear. The information we have at this time shows that the selection of the victims was random.
Police initially said that the victims were injured in the attack, before it was reported that they were killed due to injuries.
Responding to the scene, a paramedic told Noonaki Dot CZ that the rehabilitation efforts continued for 40 minutes.
