The Ukrainian army captured two Chinese fighting with the Russian army in the eastern region of Donetsk, on Tuesday was announced by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Zelenskyy said that the clash with Chinese soldiers took place near the villages of Tarasivka and Bilohorivka in the Donetsk region, where six Chinese military staff got involved in the Ukrainian troops.
Zelenskyy noticed that previously captured soldiers from North Korea fought in the Russian border region Kursk, where Ukrainian forces captured the territory, while the Chinese were caught in the Ukrainian land.
Zelenskyy said that Ukraine has information that “much more” there is “more” Chinese fight with the Russians in over three years of war publishing the film of one of the men intercepted on x. Ukraine plans to “contact Beijing immediately and find out how China will react to it,” he added.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andria Sybiha said at X that the capture “undermines the announced position of China regarding peace and subordinate credibility of Beijing as a responsible permanent member of the UN Security Council.”
China provided strong diplomatic support for Russia, since they began a full invasion of their neighbor in February 2022, which was widely criticized in the West. Beijing also contributed to the economic line of life through trading of energy and consumer goods.
However, China did not provide Russia with weapons or military knowledge, unlike Iran and North Korea, with the latter even providing soldiers, according to American and South Korean officials.
Russia allows foreigners to enlist in the army, just like Ukraine. The remuneration offered by Moscow makes Russia's service attractive.
Ukraine not in “Broces Danger”: American general
Meanwhile, Russia is close to regaining full control over the Western region Kursk after pushed Ukrainian forces from one of their last taxes, Guyevo settlements, regional governor and state media, said on Tuesday.
Russia has been trying to throw away Ukrainian forces from Kursk since August last year, after Kijik's army conducted a surprise, which embarrassed President Vladimir Putin and which Zelensky would give him a negotiating system in future conversations.
Ukraine was not immediate commentary on this development.
Russia effectively rejected the American proposal of immediate and full 30-day stop in battle, and both sides are considered a spring summer campaign, in which profits on the battlefield were easier during the war during the war than during the tedious winter months.
Gen. Christopher Cavoli, an American European command leader, said on Tuesday that Ukraine is in “good defense positions” and in recent weeks has inflicted a large number of Russian losses.
“I do not see that Ukrainians are in the direct danger of a fall. I see that the Russians are fighting to achieve the profits they made last autumn,” Cavoli testified at the hearing of the US Armed committee.
