Universal Studios Hollywood will close the theme park gates and Universal Citywalk on Wednesday due to “high winds and fire conditions” due to multiple wildfires in Southern California.

“Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal City Walk will be closed today due to high winds and fire conditions. The safety of our team members and guests is our top priority.”
Four wildfires in Los Angeles County were 0 percent contained as of Wednesday morning. Those fires — the Palisades Fire, the Eaton Fire, the Hurst Fire and the Woodley Fire — have collectively affected more than 5,700 acres, according to CalFire.

Another fire in Riverside County, Tyler, has burned 15 acres but is 100 percent contained.
Earlier Wednesday, the National Weather Service predicted “widespread damaging wind and severe fire weather for much of the Los Angeles/Venture area.”
