Virginia Jufre, who accused Prince Andrew and Jeffrey Epstein of sexual violence, has died of a 41 -year -old suicide, her family said.
D -Jufre was one of the most revealed accusers of convicted sex criminals Epstein and Gislalan Maxwell, his ex -girlfriend. She claims that she was redirected to the Duke of York when she was 17, which Prince Andrew denied greatly.
Relatives said in a statement on Friday that she was a “cruel warrior in the fight against sexual abuse” and that “the abuse fee … became unbearable.”
“She lost her life from suicide after being a victim of a lifetime of sexual abuse and trafficking in sex,” they said.
The statement describes the mother of three “like the light that raised so many survivors” and said she died on Friday on her farm in Western Australia.
Police in Western Australia have said they have been invited to a home in the Nergabi area on Friday night, where D -Jufre was found unanswered.
A statement continues: “Death is investigated by major crime detectives; the early indication is that death is not suspicious.”
D -Jufre – who was born in the United States – lived with her children and her husband Robert in the suburbs of North Perth, although the latest reports suggest that the couple had split after 22 years of marriage.
Three weeks ago, Giuffre published on Instagram to say she was seriously injured in a car accident that her family later stated that she did not intend to announce publicly. Later, the local police challenged the burden of the crash.
After making his public accusations of abuse, Da Jufre became a prominent campaign and was closely linked to the Me Too movement.
D -Jufre claims that Epstein and Maxwell transferred her to Prince Andrew when she was 17 years old.
The prince, who denied all the claims against him, reached an out -of -court agreement with her in 2022.
The agreement included a statement in which he regretted his association with Epstein, but did not contain recognition of responsibility or apology.
D -Jufre said she was a victim of sex trafficking when she was a teenager.
She said she met with Maxwell, a British socialist, in 2000.
From there, she said she was represented by American financier Epstein and alleged years of abuse from him and his associates.
Epstein took his own life in prison in 2019, where he was conducted in anticipation of a lawsuit on sexual trafficking.
He was previously convicted in 2008 for attracting prostitution by a minor.
Maxwell was sentenced to 20 years in prison in the United States for his role in Traffic and Abuse of Epstein.
