Valmart's senior executives and the target met with the President Donald Trump Monday to discuss trade negotiations with other countries and the impact of tariffs imposed on imported products.
Doug McMillon, CEO of Walmart A source familiar with this issue talked to the President about the tariffs and their impact on the retail industry during the White House meeting. McMillon had previously discussed a wide range of topics, including investment in the United States, trade and innovation, with Trump in January before sweating.
A spokesman for Walmart said the meeting with Trump and his team is “productive” and the company appreciates the opportunity to share his insights.

Target spokesman Jim Joyce also described Brian Cornell's CEO with Trump and other retail leaders as “production”, pointing out that they had discussed the “path to business”.
“We are still committed to providing value to US consumers,” Joyce said.

Trump is among the negotiations with countries that stop bilateral trade during a 90 -day pause on their tariff program. About 75 countries are currently negotiating with the White House in trade, and 15 are active in negotiations, according to the Kevin Human Business Adviser.

Meanwhile, he announced that all countries that did not retaliate against the United States would face 10 % tariffs except China. Trump increased China's import taxes to 145 % and led the country to retaliate and increase its duties on American goods to 125 %.
