WATCH: A bus arrives after a high altitude disaster in rush hour


The video was captured a New York City According to authorities, the bus overturned on the edge of the overpass after the bus driver lost control and crashed into a wall.

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority and the New York Fire Department confirmed to Fox News Digital that the driver lost time at 8:40 a.m. on Friday and crashed into a stone wall.

Films captured a bus hanging from the Henry Hudson Parkway and Kappock Street in the Bronx. The bus, known as the BXM1 bus, runs to and from Manhattan.

No passengers were on the bus and the driver was not injured, officials said. Firefighters were able to help the bus driver without injury.

Firefighters videotaped their response to the scene, where the bus had thrown rubble from the upper road to the street below.

Fire extinguishers have been used heavy rope and attached it to the bus to pull it back from falling off the slope, the video showed.

Officials said the cause of the crash is under investigation, and the Department of Transportation will investigate the incident.
