The design of Weber Sirwood
While Searwood has a similar general shape of the barrel for a smoke fire, there are some noticeable changes. This means that you can use it for direct firing or as a pan, if you have a proper insert for the latter. Unlike many Pellet grills, the Searwood manual mode retains constant fuel speed and fan with a lid, so it can maintain a way out when other grills are paused. You just choose the level 1-10 corresponding to how hotter you need to cook, and the grill does everything else. It works well, but in most cases you probably still want a kettle for charcoal for living fire. During my trials, I preferred to use Searwood as a pan, not a hinge car.
Smart functions of Searwood pass through the connection to Wi-Fi with the Weber Connect application. This is the software that the company debuted in 2020, when it first launched its Smart Grilling platform.
