Every January, the world gets its first look at new game-changing tech products CES — the giant industry-only consumer electronics trade show in Las Vegas, hosted by CTA.
For the 2025 show, CNET Group is teaming up with CTA as the official media partner of the Best of CES Awards. Based entirely on input from our experts and staff editors, we'll name the top products and services at CES and award them with official Best of CES honors.
The CNET Group is a collection of sister publications including CNET, ZDNET, PCMag, Mashable and Lifehackerwhich are owned by the same parent company, Ziff Davis. With our market-leading combined reach, experience and expertise as a collection of unrivaled technology authorities, we'll be evaluating hundreds of products at CES this year and whittling them down to one winner in each of the following categories:
- VI
- Transport and mobility
- Computer/laptop
- TV/Home Cinema
- Smart home/home technology
- Sustainability
- Playing
- Wellness/fitness technology
- Mobile
- Privacy and security
- The strangest/most unexpected
- Overall the best
To qualify, the product or service must be an exhibitor at CES 2025 and meet at least one of the following criteria:
- It includes a compelling new concept or idea
- It solves a big consumer problem
- Is new or is an update to an existing product that sets a new bar in performance or quality
