The fee imposed on Great Britain was lower than 20 percent to the European Union, which Great Britain left on January 31, 2020.
“I mean that we have our own trade relations with the USA, it is actually a fair and balanced relationship, if you look at numbers and, of course, we have decades special relations with the United States,” said Starmer in London today.

Members of the UK Parliament conducted several investigations about how the work government plans to protect companies, manage life costs and cooperate with international partners in the light of wide tariffs affecting countries around the world.
Jonathan Reynolds, Secretary of State for Business and Transactions, said to other MPs: “I warn members of this house to remain calm and remain clear in the eyes of what is in our national interest, and not simply say that we are following the activities of other countries.”
