WWE, TNA Wrestling announce multi-year partnership


WWE and TNA War on Thursday announced a joint multi-year partnership that would open up the talent pool to any company.

Talent from WWE NXT status can appear on TNA's “IMPACT” and vice versa. Superstar wrestlers may also appear on special WWE premium events and TNA pay-per-views in the future. This event had already happened at several points in 2024.

“This historic relationship shows that partnership and rivalry don't have to be mutually exclusive,” TNA Wrestling and Anthem Sports & Entertainment senior vice president Ariel Schnerer said in a press release. “Our partnership allows the TNA Wrestling brand and its incredible athletes to reach a wider audience, while giving WWE and NXT stars the opportunity to cross the line and gain valuable experience, while join one of the most talented teams in wrestling today.

“The response to our partnership last year has been tremendous and both companies have benefited, but the fans have reaped the greatest rewards of this talent and performance relationship.”

Shawn Michaels, WWE's vice president of talent development, added, “We look forward to expanding and enhancing our partnership with TNA Wrestling and its elite group of athletes by creating opportunities that channels to further develop our talent and enhance the viewer experience at home.”

TNA and WWE NXT wrestlers are already competing in each other's matches.

Last year, Jordynne Grace kicked off 2024 with an appearance in the women's Royal Rumble. She went on to compete against Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women's Championship at Battle Arena.

Joe Hendry's popularity rose during the spring and summer months of 2024. He nearly defeated Ethan Page at No Mercy for the NXT Championship.

The first TNA stars have also appeared in WWE in the past few years.

Cody Rhodes, AJ Styles, Drew McIntyre, LA Knight, CM Punk, Xavier Woods, Penta, Alex Shelley, Chris Sabin, Chelsea Green, Zelina Vega are some of those who have competed with the TNA brand in the past.
