Zelestra finishes a $ 113m credit facility for the Indiana Solar Project


Zelestra has successfully closed a $ 113m (€ 99.46m) project funding credit facility for its 81MWDC (Direct Megawatt) Jasper County Solar Plant in Indiana, US.

Banco Santander served as the only organizer of the facility, expected to be fully functional by the fourth quarter of 2025 (Q4 2025).

The funding sets out a significant step in the company's US project pipeline, which includes nearly 7GW of Solar and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.

The Jasper County Solar Factory has secured a long -term environmental attributes purchase agreement (EAPA) with Meta, ensuring a constant revenue flow when completed.

The funding obtained is classified as 'green' under the Zelestra Green Funding Framework, which has been DNV validated with the support of BNP Paribas.

Zelestra US CFO Sybil Milo Cioves said: “It is an important milestone to close this funding as we continue to deliver for our customers and grow our US presence. Banco Santander support shows confidence in our strategy and team.

“We are also delighted to have the EAPA to agree with Meta, one of six in total we have in partnership with them across the US. Jasper is leading the way in delivering major US projects, with over 1GW fully contracted projects promoting to construction over the next two years.”

Zelestra, supported by the Swedish EQT private equity company, specializes in the development, commercialization, construction and implementation of large -scale renewable energy projects.

It has a portfolio of 29GW of carbon-free projects in 13 countries, of which 5GW is contracted with customers and in the operations stage, construction or pre-construction.
