Ange Postecoglou has insisted he simply “doesn't care” about Marcus Rashford's increasingly uncertain future at Manchester United.
After reports, he was made available tRANSFERRashford went public with his desire to seek “a new challenge“, which immediately sparked significant speculation about his next destination.
Among those announced as applicants are those of Postecoglou Tottenham Hotspurand the Spurs boss was asked for his thoughts on the whole situation.
“There is always noise Manchester Unitedcome on mate, – he laughed. – Where have you been?
“No interest. Don't care. I'm not interested. He's a Manchester United player. A very good player, they have a lot of good players, but I manage my players and other managers will manage their players .
“As for the Marcus situation, I don't really want to look into it any further. If I looked at everyone we were connected to, I wouldn't have time to do anything else to be honest. I have people of others to make this part of the process.
“For us, we've been pretty disciplined in what we're trying to build here and we'll continue to be.”
Pushed further on whether Rashford could be a potential January transfer target, Postecoglou added: “It's not on my radar. You can ask me about Marcus, but you can ask me about any Premier League footballer and I'll I say the same thing.”
Whether Rashford will actually be available for a transfer in January remains to be seen. United's head coach Ruben Amorim refused to close the door to the 27-year-old and even pretended to interpret the “new challenge” comments as a reference to the new era at Old Trafford under his watch.
If Rashford is to leave United in 2025, reports say he is leaving likely to favor a move to La Liga.
