Mikel Arteta hopes victory against Crystal Palace in the EFL Cup tomorrow night will give his club the momentum to claim more silverware.
Arteta spent five years in charge at the Emirates, but managed Arsenal to just one FA Cup during that time. The EFL Cup may not be the Gunners' number one priority this season, but the Spaniard knows winning is good practice.
“If you win, I believe you can create something different,” he said ahead of the last eight clash. Games like these are really important. It is belief, Brings confidence and positive energy.
“It creates the right path and does something else. Speed up.
“When you win, you run and enter the next race.
“The team is always involved every three days.”

Arsenal have faced criticism for their lack of goals in their opening game of the season and failed to find the back of the net again in Saturday's goalless draw at Everton.
“When you're at a big club, there's pressure and you want to do the best you can,” added Arteta.
“The frustrating part is watching the incredible things we're doing and not even getting three points. This is football.
“We've got to put the ball behind the money. It's an understatement.
“It's always the narrative; When you get 5 points, you don't talk about it. This is normal, but it has not changed for us.”
Arsenal will miss left-backs Oleksandr Zinchenko and Riccardo Calafiori against Palace, while Declan Rice is “fit” but unavailable.
