Chelsea fans were shocked this week when news broke that Mikhail Mudryk had tested positive for a banned substance and will be suspended until further notice.
The Ukrainian has missed the London club's last five games and hasn't appeared since the Europa League match in Heidenheim on November 28. This was due to illness, but there are suspicions that it may have been due to a failed test.
Chelsea confirmed the news in a statement on Tuesday Now Mudrik is waiting for the results of the “B” test. and whether it supports the findings of his “A” sample.
The winger has meanwhile been suspended, a situation that could ruin his football career.
Enzo Maresca believes that this is not the end for the 23-year-old and expressed his support for the player during his latest press conference.

Maresca is not yet using Mudrik as a main star this season with the winger mainly appearing in cup competitions. The Ukraine international played for the Blues 15 times, scoring three goals and providing five assists.
Speaking to the press on Wednesday, Maresco expressed his support for the 23-year-old and does not believe his career is over.

“We will all root for Mudrik,” the Italian coach said via Fabrizio Romano. “The situation is a little clearer. We have a statement from a club that has already said what we need to say.
“So there is nothing to add. All the players on the court support and trust Misha.”
The Chelsea boss continued by saying through Fabrizio Romano: “We all believe that Mudrik is innocent. Will definitely come back.
“I don't think Misha's career at Chelsea is over. I think he will be back.
“We don't know when, that's the only doubt we have at the moment. But he will surely come back.”
