“Right Hand Up”: Ryan Garcia puts salt in Haney's wounds with a social media post


Ryan Garcia posted a troll picture on X of himself holding a child that looks like Devin Haney. Garcia said his “son” asked Santa to teach him to keep his “right hand up.” The image looks like it was generated by artificial intelligence, but the resemblance to Haney is too great.

Haney and Garcia have been feuding since last April. Devin is still bitter about his loss, while Ryan is unhappy about the way the New York State Athletic Commission stripped him of his victory after testing positive for a banned substance.

The argument is raging

This is Ryan's way of taunting Haney (31-0, 15 KOs), who failed to keep his right hand to block his powerful left hook, which he used to drop him three times in their April 20 fight.

Garcia (24-1, 20 KO) couldn't miss with his left hook and had Devin looking scattered, unable to stop that weapon. Devin lost the fight by majority decision in 12 rounds and has not been seen in the ring since. That loss ended Haney's career, and it remains to be seen if he will ever be able to bounce back.

Bill Haney has been on a non-stop rampage since Devin lost to Garcia, and he's kept up the bitter nonsense all this time. Devin was mostly in the background, training and keeping to himself as usual.

He's seemingly moved on and is preparing for what's next when he returns to the ring in 2025. If it's Garcia, he'll be ready, but he might not be. Bill could be helpful if he reconciles with Ryan, drops the lawsuit, and focuses on the greater good, setting up a rematch for Devin.
