Ruben Amorim has admitted that Alejandro Garnacho appears to be “upset” about his absence from the Manchester United squad that beat Manchester City.
Grenache was cruised home for the derby win alongside Marcus Rashford, who has since gone public with his desire to seek “a new challenge“.
Rashford is expected to be left out of the squad that travels to face Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday, but Garnacho has been included after Amorim was impressed by the winger's initial response to the drop.
“Really good. I trained really well,” Amorim said. “He looks a little upset with me and that's perfect.
“I was very, very happy because I was going to do the same and he is ready for this game. So we will see at the end of this training”.

Asked what he plans to do to deal with leaks going forward, Amorim bluntly replied: “Nothing, and nowadays all the coaches know about (United's tactics) because I explain a lot about the team – the way how we play, how I want to play, positioning…
“But I say that because I understand that the coaches have that information, just by watching, once, Manchester United play. So I'm not too worried about that. And I also can't control that. So I will do the same things. I prepare the same for games, because for me it's more important that my players go into the game with a clear idea of what and how to do it, rather than trying to hide something about it protect the flow of the initial 11. This it's not my focus, I'm not too worried about it.”
