Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has said England left-back Ben Chiwell and midfielder Kane Chumika could leave the club in January.
Neither player has featured in the Premier League this season, nor have they qualified for the Conference League or Carabao Cup.
England international Chewell, who started for his country in March's friendlies against Brazil and Belgium ahead of Euro 2024, was not in the manager's plans but could not decide on a move before the transfer deadline.
Chukwuemeka – signed from Aston Villa for £20m in January 2023 – was limited to substitutes in the Conference League despite not being in the squad for Thursday's 5-1 rout of Shamrock Rovers.
“Unfortunately there are players who don't play a lot with us in every competition, like Chilwell, Carney,” Maresca said ahead of Sunday's trip to Everton.
“Maybe they want to work every day because they want to play every day. If you don't play, you'll think about leaving.
“Each player has a different situation, so we'll have to wait and see if someone knocks on the door and says I want to leave. I'll try to find a solution.”
Reece James, who has not featured since November's draw with Arsenal, is expected to make a partial return to first-team training on Friday as he recovers from a hamstring injury.
Maresca said: “It doesn't mean he will be with us on Sunday or next week. “The plan is part of a meeting where he will be with the team from there to try to build the right situation for him.”
