Karnataka pulled off a huge feat in the history of the Vijay Hazare Trophy after KL Shrijith's sensational performance against Mumbai. The state team posted the second highest chase of the tournament after their 7-wicket win in the match.
Karnataka wrote history in their match against Mumbai in Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024-25. The match between the two TEAMS was held on Saturday (December 21) at the Narendra Modi Stadium B ground in Ahmedabad, where the festival of runs was held.

Thanks to KL Shrijith's heroics, Karnataka posted the second highest chase (383) in the history of the Vijay Hazare Trophy. The record of the highest chase in the history of the tournament belongs to Andhra Pradesh. They were chasing the massive target of 384 runs against Goa in 2012.

Earlier in the day, with the kind of performance Mumbai came up with, it looked like they were going to win the game. Opening batsman Ayush Mhatre put in a solid effort at the top, finishing with an innings of 78 off 82 balls, batting at a strike rate of 95.
