Boxing results: Usyk's skills prevail over fury in Riyadh

Oleksander Usyk (23-0, 12 KO) looked clean 24k goldwho retained his WBA, WBC and WBO heavyweight titles with a 12-round unanimous decision in a rematch with Tyson Fury (34-2-2, 24 KOs) on Saturday night at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh. Saudi Arabia.

The fight was largely a chess match, with Usyk, 37, using plenty of feints and nailing the 281lb, stocky Fury with a powerful left hand to the head. Tyson fought Usyka to the finish in the fifth round.

Fury's weight factor

In the sixth, Usyk torched Fury, landing multiple left hands to the head and dominating the entire round.

The extra pounds Fury packed on for the fight seemed to slow him down in the second half of the contest, as he looked as slow and unable to attack as he did in the first fight. Gyspy Knig carried too much fat around his midsection. Even with his torso raised higher than usual, almost up to his chest, you could tell he wasn't ready for a rematch.

Fury went on the attack in the ninth, which was one of his better rounds. However, they came back strong in the tenth, chasing Fury8 around the ring for the last minute, peppering him with punches and forcing him to hold on.

In the 11th and 12th, Usyk was still on the attack and Fury was easing, trying to tie him up to support. That was all Fury had left – his bullying wasn't going to work this time either

Dubois calls out Usyk

IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois entered the ring to call out Usyk after the contest. It's unclear who gave him the green light to enter, but it's pretty easy to figure out. Usyk said he is ready to fight.

Obviously, Usyk is not going to get a fight against Anthony Joshua, because he has already beaten him twice, and the third one is an unfortunate thing. Same with Fury. It's pointless that Turki Alalshikh sets up a trilogy between them because Usyk is too good and Fury is too old and fat.

After the fight, Fury's promoter was interviewed and said he felt he did enough to win. There wasn't much applause when he said that.
