Mohamed Salah drew comparisons to Manchester City's defeat to Tottenham after scoring twice in a Premier League record-breaking win over Tottenham on Sunday.
Salah, who became the first player in Premier League history to record 10 goals and 10 assists, moved four points clear at the top of the table with a 6-3 win.
The result was the last game involving 11th-placed Tottenham Hotspur, with manager Ange Postecoglou's adventurous brand of attacking football thrashing Manchester City 4-0 on November 23.

Salah: Spurs have a way of playing
“We expected the way they played, they opened up the game and were happy to play football,” Salah told Sky Sports after his 26th straight clean sheet of the season, nine clear of Chelsea's nearest rival Cole Palmer.
“You always have to be in the game. It was really hard, both physically and mentally. The way they play hasn't changed much.
“City have struggled (against them) and so have other teams. I'm glad they played a very strong game.”

Liverpool, who need to improve defensively,
Salah has been less than impressed with Liverpool's defense after conceding more than one goal for the third time in their last five games.
They have now scored 16 goals in 16 league games and are tied with third-placed Arsenal for the fewest goals scored, despite having played a game more than the Gunners.
Salah said, “Defensively, we need to improve as a team. “Conceding three goals is very difficult. (Defender) Virgil (Van Dijk) will talk about that better than me. The result is pretty good and we hope to continue.”

Mo Salah's stats: Liverpool 229 goals
In the 8th minute of the second half, he scored Salah's second goal and moved the Egyptian icon ahead of Billy Liddell as Liverpool's fourth top scorer.
He is likely to score the 13 goals he needs to overtake Gordon Hodgson in third place this season, but his chances of taking Roger Hunt's required total of 57 will depend on his contract being extended before the end of the season.
Ian Rush is only 117 goals ahead of Sir, so the 32-year-old will need five more years at Anfield to reach the Welsh legend's record of 346, if he continues to average just 25 goals last season and the first. – Player of choice.
